Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) are accountable for ethical practices under BCACC's standards of practice and code of ethics, and every member must have a clean criminal record check. This accountability gives peace of mind for those wanting to feel secure when they enter into a professional counselling relationship.
Every person who receives the ‘RCC’ counselling designation in British Columbia has met specific educational and training criteria required by the BCACC. RCCs have earned a minimum of a Master’s Degree and have additional training in their specific area of practice. They have also satisfied the BCACC’s clinical supervision requirements that are criteria of membership.

I have a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Alberta and a Master’s degree in counselling psychology from Athabasca University. I offer a blend of compassion and life experience to my work as a registered clinical counsellor. I have been a mom for 22 years and married for 25 years, which has given me a deep understanding of the complexities of family life and the challenges we face at different stages. Having navigated life’s ups and downs with resilience and hope, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their own experiences and uncover their strengths.

I have had the privilege of supporting children, youth, and adults in both community and private practice clinical counselling settings. I have worked at OSNS as a behavior interventionist in the autism intervention program, One Sky Community Resources, various schools, and Penticton Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Therapeutic experiences include the support of trauma, depression, grief and loss, anxiety, autism, ADHD, parenting, spirituality, and relationships. Music-integrated therapy is available.

I am an EMDR trained therapist, with additional training in recent events protocol and EMDR for children. I have completed trauma-focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, emotionally focused therapy for individuals level 1 certification, ADHD certification training: supporting neurodiverse clients, emotion-focused therapy for families, and Gottman levels one and two for couples. I also completed an ACT intensive course and Trauma Treatment Certification (EMDR, CBT, and somatic-based interventions for trauma work).

Therapy from a Christian perspective and autism services are available upon request.
